[edit]In 1985, Walter Gernert, co-founder of his adult video company VCA Pictures, set up Magnum Entertainment to market and distribute home video releases. The company launched a sublabel Sagebrush Productions to handle marketing of its titles from the library. The company had deals with Image Entertainment to distribute its titles on Laserdisc and Starmaker Entertainment to market and distribute videocassettes into the budget sell-through market.
The company's titles were primarily of the action, horror and western genres. In 1990, it launched the ME2 imprint. The company went bust around 1991.
