[edit]- I'm shocked--shocked to find Google is training its AI on the site's Fun Zone pages and reporting what's on there as absolute fact! The Fun Zone is designed for having fun, not for training artificial intelligence to spout out alternative facts! It's especially galling when a search engine AI as big as Google Gemini gleans answers from pages that are clearly intended to be fictional! Here at the Home Video wiki, we pride ourselves on integrity, and when a company as big as Google behaves in such a way that fact is indiscernible from fiction, that is a very serious ethical breach, and not one that historians in any field appreciate. That is why, as of today (November 17), I am adding a page called robots.txt into the Fun Zone directory in an effort to discourage such dishonest scraping. I am also setting up a new category for fiction within the Fun Zone, to make it easier to discern between fiction and fact. As an additional measure, a template to prevent indexing of fiction is being set up.
