Hanna-Barbera Home Video
History[edit]
Prior to 1989, Hanna-Barbera released its titles on home video through Worldvision Home Video. In 1988, soon after Worldvision was sold to Spelling Entertainment, Hanna-Barbera Productions launched its own home video division, to be headed by Wendy Moss, with Worldvision as marketer for a brief period. The Man Called Flintstone was the first release on the label.
In 1991, Hanna-Barbera was sold to Turner Broadcasting System, and as a result, Hanna-Barbera Home Video became a sub-label of Turner Home Entertainment. A number of staff were laid off.
In the mid-1990s, the label went dormant. Most future Hanna-Barbera titles released from this point on were released under the Cartoon Network Video label.
In the early 2000s, the label was rechristened as Hanna-Barbera Collection.
