How to Tell
- 1981-1986 tapes, duplicated at Creative Video Services, would have a white or orange sticker with a print date on the bottom side.
- Until 1984, the sticker was formatted like these examples:
Example 1:
GU MB
124 16
DEC
Example 2:
D E D
521 12
FEB
- Tapes duplicated beginning in 1984 have the sticker formatted like these examples:
Example 1:
USA
PIPPIN
3/16/85
P1D# 731
Example 2:
FHE
TRNSFRMRS
ROLLFORIT
7/20/85
P26D#0893
- Tapes duplicated at Video Technology Services between 1986-1988 may use an ink print date. Rank Video Services America continued this method for the rest of 1988 and for early 1989 following its acquisition of this arm from International Video Entertainment the former year.
- However, tapes released by GoodTimes Home Video that were duplicated at this arm may use a blue sticker.
