I wonder what happened to your previous account, called TheVideoLover, which led you to create this account. 69.85.235.224 11:44, 7 September 2023 (UTC)

I got kicked out of my previous account, and I tried to log back in, but forgot my password. --Videolover1999 (talk) 00:40, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

Batman (1989)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI4xr8GVlns

I noticed that in the description of your opening video to your 2002 VHS copy of this film on YouTube, you got it mixed up with one of your 1989 copies. I saw the print/pressing date of one of your 1989 copies in the description, but your 2002 copy seems to use the tape master from the 1998 release, as I could tell by the 75th anniversary variant of the Warner Home Video logo at the beginning. So do you think you could fix this?

69.85.235.224 14:52, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

What do you mean? --Videolover1999 (talk) 23:56, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

You might have to look at the description, then you'll see what I mean. The description for your 2002 copy states that it was printed on the 44th week of 1989, but I don't think that's when your 2002 copy was printed, though. 69.85.235.224 11:49, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

I just got it fixed. Sorry about the typo. --Videolover1999 (talk) 23:03, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

The Little Fox

You might want to purchase this copy or this one and see if it has the Custom Duplication markings. --IlCattivo25 (talk) 00:05, 9 September 2023 (UTC)

Shame, really.

Seems the way YouTube descriptions and comments work is really getting in the way of home video research. Anyway, do you have any Nintendo Power VBIs? --IlCattivo25 (talk) 03:51, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

I'm afraid not. --Videolover1999 (talk) 04:51, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

The 25 Year Mission (Live!)

I actually found this tape on Amazon not too long ago and the tape in one of the images has the sticker label on it.

The copy that you own, though, did you buy it from eBay or Amazon, or a thrift store? Perhaps the sticker label on your copy got peeled off by the previous owner at some point before you bought it? 69.85.235.224 12:38, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

Maybe it fell off. Anyways, I got it at Goodwill. --Videolover1999 (talk) 22:57, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

The Magic School Bus tapes

Did your copies of "For Lunch" and "Gets Lost in Space" have any printings on the tape spine? I wonder if Allied Film & Video Services/Allied Digital Technologies had duplicated some copies of other A*Vision/WarnerVision tapes during the 1990s, besides the "Magic School Bus" tapes. 69.85.235.224 17:02, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I may have to check again. --Videolover1999 (talk) 22:06, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

Do they both use horizontal silkscreen-inked labels, or horizontal sticker labels? If the latter, are the labels comprised of white text in a black background or black or colored text in a white background?

Horizontal ink labels --Videolover1999 (talk) 22:34, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Also, do you own any of the DVD releases of the series (the 2000s WarnerVision Entertainment releases, the 2010s New Video Group releases, or both)? When I was in elementary school, some of my classes had a few DVDs of the series which were from New Video Group, and the library had a few VHS tapes of the series from WarnerVision Entertainment. Also, on the prints of most of the episodes used on the New Video Group DVD releases, the original 1985 Nelvana logo got plastered with the 2004 Nelvana logo with the byline "A Corus™ Entertainment Inc. Company". One sole exception on those releases was the episode "Ups and Downs" for which the original print is used. 69.85.235.224 12:27, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

I don't think so. --Videolover1999 (talk) 22:34, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Muppet Sing-Alongs: Muppet Treasure Island

What did the printing (including the print/pressing date) say on the copy of the tape you took the "WD00006794 M#018" VBI code from? 69.85.235.224 12:21, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

The print date is 012596 (January 25, 1996), and as for the overall printings, I will need to look again.

Disney's Sing-Along Songs: Very Merry Christmas Songs

Not sure if you have checked the copy you got recently, but isn't that particular copy the 1994 release? I think the "91" on the print/press date was a typo. 69.85.235.224 12:23, 23 October 2023 (UTC)

Maybe... --Videolover1999 (talk) 19:09, 23 October 2023 (UTC)

Speaking of typos, last night, while I was looking up VHS copies of the direct-to-video film "Cinderella II: Dreams Come True" online, I discovered an earlier copy of the VHS release that had a typo on the print/press date. The date was misprinted as "010301" (January 3, 2001). I believe that copy was actually pressed on January 3, 2002. A week ago, I have also discovered a Starmaker Entertainment tape printed/pressed on October 21, 1994 (I don't remember the exact name of the tape) where the date was misprinted as "1021944" (two fours instead of one). Months ago, I discovered a VHS copy of "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Funny, We Shrunk the Adults" printed/pressed on August 21, 1992, where the date was misprinted as "082191" (August 21, 1991).

If I'm not mistaken, there are also some tapes printed/pressed on January 10, 2000 where the date was misprinted as "011080" (January 10, 1980).

I recently discovered a copy of a Mickey's Fun Songs tape (can't remember the name of the title) on eBay, that I believe was printed/pressed on June 7, 1994, where the date was misprinted as "0060794". 69.85.235.48 16:06, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

Disney's Cinderella trilogy

Are there any other Disney Cinderella films you own on physical media? Such as Cinderella 2 and 3? Also, do you own the 1995 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of the first film? 69.85.235.48 13:07, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

I have the 1988 and 1995 VHS releases of the first film. --Videolover1999 (talk) 22:42, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

What does the print/press date say on your 1995 copy? 69.85.235.48 12:45, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

061095 (June 10, 1995) --Videolover1999 (talk) 23:28, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

Cool. My copy of the 1995 release was printed/pressed on June 11, 1995, a day after your copy. Also, my copy has the DTMF tones at the beginning and end.

Does your copy also have the DTMF tones? 69.85.235.48 12:45, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

DVD

I noticed that at the beginning of some of your DVD opening videos on YouTube, there's a bar on the top left of the video that says "DVD-Video". What DVD player do you use for some of those videos? I believe I have seen some DVD players (including Memorex, Sylvania and Philips) that had status words inserted into bars on the top left of the screen, such as "Loading", "No Disc", or "DVD-Video". I own a Polaroid DVC2000 VCR/DVD player combo unit and it also has them. I once owned a Sylvania portable DVD player, and later, an Onn portable DVD player, and they also had them. 69.85.235.48 15:58, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

It varies by upload. --Videolover1999 (talk) 23:11, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

Well, my question was - what DVD player do you use that has that "DVD-Video" notation on the top left of the video? I apologize if I'm confusing you. I was just wondering. 69.85.235.48 12:44, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

The Lyons Group and Cassette Productions

The telltale markings may not be there, but they might have been a later addition to Cassette Productions tapes, and besides, we already have confirmation from Reddit user GummyRoach, who appears to have been one of the first cases of Barneyphobia based on what we know. Just reading the end of his comment will reveal that the duplicator also worked on Franklin Covey audiocassettes (albeit he used derogatory nicknames for such), and a Google search for Cassette Productions turns up this article that mentions Franklin Covey as a client of Cassette Productions. Plus, it is one of few duplicators that used both Otari TMD and Analog Protection System, both of which are also mentioned by GummyRoach as having been offered by the duplicator. --IlCattivo25 (talk) 07:30, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

Ah, now I get it! --Videolover1999 (talk) 07:33, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
