Earlier on, the company had a pact with Republic Pictures Home Video for distribution and duplication, although Republic continued to duplicate tapes even after the split before Republic's duplication division was sold to Rank Video Services America in 1988.
The company entered film production in 1987, as an international sales broker and eventually a film distribution. The film distribution branch adopted the name Trimark Pictures in 1990, for the releases of Warlock and Scissors.
