The company was formed in 1991 and had deals with some home video labels including Random House Home Video, and duplication contracts with [[Cassette Productions]], [[Matrix Video Duplication Corporation]], and [[Hauppauge Video Manufacturing]]. Sometime in 1992, Goldstar formed a children’s video division called The Little Red Schoolhouse Learning Center. The company's video releases were always duplicated in EP/SLP mode, sometimes with only a linear audio track. As always, the regular video label's UPC is replaced with Goldstar’s own UPC, beginning with the prefix "~~54342~~054342," and the regular video label's stock number is left intact,. The releases also ~~with~~had one barcode. Around 1991 and 1992, some of the company's tapes were duplicated at [[Alpha Video Distributors, Inc.]]
