History[edit]

Forum Home Video was a home video distributor established in 1986 by Michael Oliveri after leaving Vestron Video. At first, the company mostly handled sell-through releases. Later that year, it secured a deal with The Monterey Movie Company. In early 1988, the firm was sold to Management Company Entertainment Group and begins expanding into feature films. The company also secured a pact with Medusa Communications to handle the video releases of the company's library.

In 1989, it merged with rival Virgin Vision to form M.C.E.G. Virgin Home Entertainment. In 1990, the company folded. In 1993, the name was revived by Fox Lorber after the company bought out the brand from GE Capital.
