The film and television company Dimension Films originated as a label of Miramax Films, which was acquired by Disney in 1993. In late October 2005, the label was completely separated from Miramax Films. As a result, the Weinstein brothers formed their own company, simply called The Weinstein Company.
In 2018, The Weinstein Company filed bankruptcy and sold its assets to Lantern Capital Partners. As a result, Lantern Capital Partners formed Lantern Entertainment, and Harvey Weinstein, who founded both Miramax and The Weinstein Company, was charged for sexual assault. As of 2020, he remains in prison.
Originally released under Miramax Home Entertainment, the sell-thru release of this film uses the Dimension Home Video logo both on the physical case and on-screen.
