How to Tell

  • VHS tapes that were duplicated by Cinram International have a print date and time on the bottom middle side of the tape which is made out of invisible ink. Also, the date/time is read in the YY/MM/DD/00:00 format.
  • On some VHS tapes, there is an engraving on the right side of the tape that says "CVC". This unusual abbreviation is in a gold orange color and could possibly refer to either Cinram Video Corporation (in US locations), Cinram Video Canada (in Canadian locations) or both.
