On a regular basis, did Cinram use industrial-grade VCRs to duplicate the tapes?

Also, what year did its Huntsville, AL plant use Sony Sprinter systems?

Paramount Home Video[edit]

I actually own a rare Rugrats 2-VHS boxset from Nickelodeon Video/Paramount Home Video, which I bought from a Canadian seller on eBay (No, I do not live there, I live in the U.S.). The boxset to be exact consists of the "A Rugrats Passover" and "A Rugrats Chanukah" tapes.

When I got this rare boxset, I half-expected both tapes in the set to be Cinram-duplicated Canadian copies (The boxset was sealed when I got it, and there was a Paramount mountain logo watermark on one of the spines of the Chanukah tape). As it turns out, only the Chanukah one is a Cinram-duplicated Canadian copy. The other one, the Passover tape, to my surprise, is a U.S. copy, duplicated by Deluxe Video Services, since it had the Paramount Home Video logo watermark. The Passover tape was pressed during the 5th week of 1999 (PAR 905), while the Chanukah tape was pressed on September 24, 1999 (990924).

Another copy of this boxset, in another eBay listing, had showcased the same exact oddity.

I wonder how this oddity occurred - is it possible that Deluxe or Paramount or whatever sent the "Passover" tapes from the U.S. to Cinram at some point and Cinram packaged those in some copies of this rare boxset?

Paramount Home Entertainment[edit]

How do we know that Paramount Home Entertainment was still a Cinram client in Canada after 2003? By then they were normally a client of Technicolor Home Entertainment Services in that country. 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:51B4:3EC6:62B5:F6CF 22:21, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
