History
[edit]The video division of Zeitgeist Films, an independent film distributor which acquires and distributes both American and international films. It has released the earliest films of directors ranging from Christopher Nolan to Agom Egoyan and has handled American distribution for the works of such directors as Agnes Varda, Ken Loach and Derek Jarman. One of its films, the German drama Nowhere in Africa, won the 2002 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film (now Best International Feature Film). The company entered into a multi-year strategic alliance with similar distributor Kino Lorber in 2017. It is headquartered in New York City.
