Earlier today, I got the 1992 VHS release of "So Dear to My Heart". My copy is complete with the purple insert card for the Proof of Purchase, a business reply mail card with green text, and the video booklet.
However, the weird thing about my copy is, my copy was printed November 23, 1992, and came with the video booklet variation that’s on the 1992 release of "The Rescuers", which I have. The back advertises “Beauty and the Beast" as "coming soon".
The reason for this, I don’t know. My only theory would be that Disney is too cheap to update the booklet when releasing later pressings of older releases, and decides to reprint the older variation. Have you seen any copies with the booklet that’s on "Beauty and the Beast"? “BATB” was released on video on 10-30-1992, and "So Dear to My Heart" was released in the permanent availability wave on 09-18-1992.
