  1. What company developed this system?
  2. Is there such thing as a vertical roll issue on APS-encoded tapes? Or does that only exist on stop copy-encoded tapes?
  3. Did this system confuse the automatic gain control circuitry on VCRs as much as Macrovision's APS did? Could that be the reason for vertical roll issues?
  4. What is the best Digital Video Stabilizer for avoiding copy-protection issues? I happen to own a Sima Digital Copymaster from 2003 (which I've had it since mid-2022), and it seems to work fine with avoiding the copy-protection. However, the Sima models appear to also remove the closed captioning interval.
