About Bedknobs and Broomsticks

@IlCattivo25: on some early 90s pressings of "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" with the 1989 master, the first second of the Sorcerer Mickey Walt Disney Home Video logo, following the red-orange warning screens, is cut off. This particular video, which shows the 1992 ink-label, is the proof.

This is what the un-edited 1989 print master looks like right here.

And this is what the 1991 print master looks like right here. 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:F903:6A4A:C8E0:6DC5 12:55, 29 May 2022 (UTC)

Silver Disney Video Booklet from “The Great Mouse Detective” 1992 VHS

Despite the original version of “Disney's Sing-Along Songs: Be Our Guest” being banned, the silver Disney video booklet, inside the 1992 VHS of "The Great Mouse Detective," still advertised that program. Why is that? 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:746B:F6E2:267:28A5 13:54, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

  • Likely the materials of that tape were finalized before the injunction was handed down. --IlCattivo25 (talk) 03:19, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

The earliest print date for the tape itself is either February or March 1992, which I’m assuming was when all of the materials of the tape were finalized. I also have both TGMD and SAS: Be Our Guest, but my copy of the former is a March 26, 1993 re-packaging, as my copy had the Proof of Purchase tab label (text in all caps) below the back of the clamshell cover when I got it (and it was factory sealed, too, when I got it), and not to mention mine was printed January 23, 1994. It still used the same printmaster as the original 1992 print. 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:55BF:399B:2298:9C1F 00:32, 10 June 2022 (UTC)

Green warning screens

The first three Dinosaurs volumes released on VHS by Disney were the last Disney video releases to use the red-orange warnings, and some sources state those were released on December 6, 1991. I don’t know what was truly the first Disney video release (whether it’s a reissue or not) with the newer green warning screens, and I doubt that it was September 1991. 68.35.208.19 02:45, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

Walt Disney’s Studio Film Collection debuted on January 21, 1992, and the red-orange warning screens were discontinued around then. It’s either December 1991 or January 1992 when Disney introduced the green warnings. 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:9C43:219F:62B9:88C7 03:07, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
