I once saw a copy of "The Little Mermaid" on eBay printed/pressed at Technicolor Videocassette's Livonia, MI plant on January 30, 1990 (30th day of 1990), but I can't remember what the overall printing said. It was manufactured by Memorex (Memtek Products) sometime in late 1989 (can't remember the exact date, but I do know it was around the time of the film's original theatrical release). The copy I own, however, was printed/pressed at the same Technicolor Videocassette plant on January 31, 1990 (31st day of 1990) and even though the cassette shell on mine looks Memorex-ish, mine doesn't have "MADE IN U.S.A." engraved on the back of the cassette, nor does it have the Memorex "x xxx xx xxxx" manufacture code. The overall printing on my copy says "T-83-AFT-3190" (somehow they forgot to put the zero between the dash and the three, otherwise it would be "T-83-AFT-03190"). 69.85.235.224 18:17, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

1992 Re-Releases[edit]

If anyone knows the earliest known print/pressing dates for the 1992 videotape masters for "The Rescuers Down Under", "Robin Hood" and "The Jungle Book," I'd like to know. The earliest I've seen for the 1992 re-release of "TRDU" was in early February 1992.

Also, IIRC, Robin Hood had two versions of the newer tape master from 1992. Both versions have no trailers and they open with the 1991-1998 green and white warning screens. One difference between the two versions, though, is the Walt Disney Classics logo used on them.

Anyhow, version #1 was duped exclusively at Technicolor in CA and retains the cut-shortened variant of the 1989-1994 Walt Disney Classics logo (from the 1991 VHS release). Version #2 was duped exclusively at Technicolor in Livonia, MI, as well as AstralTech in Canada, and uses the early 1990s off-centered variant of the 1988 (Prototype) Walt Disney Classics logo.

1991-1994 prints of Bedknobs and Broomsticks[edit]

In the past, there have been many YouTube uploads of the print of "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" from 1991 that has that odd video editing error on the 1986 Walt Disney Home Video logo, but those particular uploads never pointed out the error (Error to be exact: the first second of the logo is cut off). Otherwise, the contents are the same as on the 1989 print (the Buena Vista Distribution logo was omitted, not unlike on the 1989 print).

A day ago, Kyle O / Kozmik DeLuxO Studio, whom some of you may remember from years ago as Imaxination1980, uploaded his copy of that exact print to YouTube. His upload is the very first upload to point out that exact error. And his copy was printed/pressed on November 23, 1991. Take a look here.

According to the description, he claims that this print appears to be a rare print. To my knowledge, this print was exclusively duplicated at Technicolor's Livonia, MI plant (the other plant Technicolor had in Newbury Park, CA had a different version of the 1991 print of this film which retains the Buena Vista Distribution logo and does not have the editing error on the WDHV logo), but I wouldn’t say that it’s necessarily rare, as I own the same exact print (except mine is a much later pressing, with the early 1992 silkscreen-inked label and a print/press date of May 14, 1993). I bought my copy of this print back in Q4 2002 from eBay (it was still factory sealed when I got it too and apparently the previous owner bought it from a Kmart, as it still had the Kmart price sticker), in which I was the first to notice the error on this print.
