The label was formed in late 1995 as a division of Cartoon Network. Earlier Cartoon Network releases feature classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, namely Scooby-Doo, Jonny Quest and The Flintstones; gradually, the label shifted focus on Cartoon Network's original series. The first titles to be released under the label were Classic Jonny Quest titles.
