The label was formed in late 1995 as a division of Cartoon Network. Earlier Cartoon Network releases feature classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, namely Scooby-Doo, Jonny Quest and The Flintstones; gradually, the label shifted focus on Cartoon Network's original series. The first titles to be released under the label were Classic Jonny Quest titles.

Trivia[edit]

  • Ever since Turner Home Entertainment's distribution services were folded into Warner Home Video in October 1996 following the Turner-Time Warner merger, all Cartoon Network video releases, as well as all ads for them, from that point on carried the Cartoon Network branding with no video indicator whatsoever.
  • The label was folded completely in the mid-2000s.
