In late 1983, the company was sold to Heron Communications, and in 1984, MHE purchased [[The Nostalgia Merchant]] andwhich became its nostalgic label, with some of MHE's nostalgia-themed titles moved to The Nostalgia Merchant, in exchange for Nostalgia Merchant's catalog of 1970s-1980s movies being shifted to MHE, and launched '''Snoopy's Home Video Library''' for its titles of ''Peanuts'' material, '''Private Screenings''' for erotic titles, and '''Music Media''' for its music titles. Also that year, the company had secured a deal with German-based '''VCL Communications''' whereas Media distributed titles by VCL, before passing on to [[Lorimar Home Video|Karl-Lorimar Home Video]] and [[Palisades Home Video|Continental Video]] in 1986 after the deal lapsed.
 
The company stroke big in 1985, when it partnered with Cannon Films, whereas Media would distribute its Cannon library onto videocassette. Also that year, the company begin using the alias "Luna Video" for distribution of Private Screenings' titles.
