AFAIK S/T was always a Teletronics division, at least in part.
(→‎The Major Two: S/T Videocassette was a subsidiary of VCA Teletronics, but I'm not exactly sure when VCA acquired S/T. VCA started printing out print dates on their tapes around 1982, so maybe it had to be around 1982 or 1983 when VCA acquired S/T?)
