  • This episode was planned to be the first new Disney's Sing-Along Songs episode in the third wave of the series.
  • This tape was advertised on a November 1993 "Ariel's Undersea Video Treasure" pamphlet that was supplied with pre-1994 printings of the "The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventures" videos "In Harmony" and "Ariel's Gift", both released in November 1993, as well as 1994 printings of the previous three "The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventures" videos which were originally released in February 1993. The tape was scrapped, possibly due to low demand and/or lack of pre-orders and interest. It is unknown whether the cover art was finished before the tape was scrapped.

  • A 1994 pamphlet that was supplied with several Disney videos from around the time announces proposed re-releases of Welcome to Pooh Corner. The pamphlet features cover art for one volume of the series, "The Pooh Scouts". The series was scrapped in favor of the Winnie the Pooh: Friendship videos.

  • A trailer for a dub of Studio Ghibli's Castle in the Sky done by an earlier Buena Vista dubbing team can be seen on early VHS printings of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride and Kiki's Delivery Service. The release was ultimately scrapped, and later printings of the tapes outright removed the trailer.
  • The film would eventually hit home video, but with a different dub, in 2003; with the VHS sharing the scrapped release's catalog number.

  • When Disney fully bought out Dimension's home video rights in 1998, the company's policy forced the unrated cut of Scream to never see the light of day on any format outside of LaserDisc; as this release came out just before the acquisition.
  • The unrated cut has never been released on any media since.
