DXB Video Tapes, Inc.

Besides manufacturing VHS tapes, DXB has also manufactured CDs, audio cassettes and DVDs.

History Edit

DXB Video Tapes was founded in 1985 as a reseller of custom loaded blank videotapes. DXB was the first company to sell it in the northeast. In 1988, some of its customers were unable to expand their business, so DXB set up a duplication lab in an effort to handle the overflow. Domestically, the company teamed up with Skura Trading Company of California in 1987 to become one of the first bi-coastal full service video duplication companies in the United States. In 1989, it opened a facility in Florida, known as RLX Video. In 1999, a facility opened in Georgia to service customers in Atlanta. DXB opened its first international office in Chile, followed by an office in Argentina in 1992, and then offices in Colombia and Brazil a few years later. The company later expanded to DVD replication in February 2000.
