The label was formed in late 1995 as a division of Cartoon Network. Earlier Cartoon Network releases feature classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, namely ''Scooby-Doo'', ''Jonny Quest'' and ''The Flintstones''; gradually, the label shifted focus on Cartoon Network's original series.
