BASF outside of VCA

From Home Video

Since 1987, BASF (abbreviation for "Baden Aniline and Soda Factory") has became one of the exclusive tape providers for Technicolor Video Services. However, some duplicators outside of Technicolor have used BASF tape stock as well for a decent number of copies of videotapes they duplicated.

Notes

Certain post-mid 2001 tapes duplicated on BASF cassettes had either the tape guard colored blue, “TTGNIC” moulded on the back right of the cassette, or both. Additionally, on some tapes printed after late 2002, the tape reels inside the cassette are altered from white to black plastic.
