History
In 1980, Charles Band left Media Home Entertainment to start up a new home video label, Wizard Video, while taking the film Auditions with them. In 1982, the company had a distribution agreement with Family Home Entertainment to release these titles, but when FHE forced to start U.S.A. Home Video, they broke their ties with Wizard.
TBD

The company begin operating under two sublabels, Cult Video and Force Video. In 1983, Spectrum Video became Wizard's distribution partner, while shuttering the Cult and Force labels down. The label briefly dabbled into video games under the Wizard Video Games label, to release three games, two for the Atari 2600, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween, and one for Atari 8-bit computers, Movie Trivia Quiz, before the video game industry collapsed.

Meanwhile, Empire International signed with Vestron Video. In 1985, Empire revived the Force Video label, with Vestron's Lightning Video sub-label as distributor, which was subsequently extended to Wizard in 1986. Band also picked up agreements with The CBS/Fox Company and New World Video, the latter released tapes under the Empire Video brand.

In 1987, Empire formed yet another home video label, Urban Classics Video, whose purpose was to release films theatrically and on video. Empire and its labels collapsed in 1988, and Band went on to form Full Moon Features.
