== History ==
Cassette Productions was a division of The Duplication Group. Besides duplicating videocassettes, they also duplicated audio cassettes and computer floppy diskettes, and they even replicated CDs and software. In 1988, one of Cassette Productions' major customers took on some new business that would strain CP's duplication abilities. Thus, in 1989, the founders realized that they would either need to go into debt to raise fresh capital or accept a buyout offer, which included employment agreements for themselves, from businessmen Stewart Grow and Richard Keysor. They opted for the latter.<ref>https://www.deseret.com/1994/6/19/19115071/family-fare-turns-profit-for-audio-video-firm/</ref> In 1998, Cassette Productions was folded into theits latterparent company. On December 19 of that year, [[The Video-Matic Group]] acquired the company's assets.<ref>https://www.deseret.com/1998/12/20/19419523/video-matic-acquires-duplication-group</ref>

* Tapes from this duplicator do not have anything in the vertical blanking interval.
* Several early tapes use oversized reels, while some use regular reels.
* Early tapes had different printings on the right side of the cassette shell (e.g. '''351''').
* Most tapes by this duplicator had some extra black screen following the blank space at the tail end, accompanied by a rumbling sound in the linear track. However, some tapes from this duplicator may not have anything following the static at the tail end at all. Some tapes may also reach the very end before the rumbling sound even pops up.
