At the beginning of the 1961 televised version of the individual segment, Ludwig von Drake says that nobody believes in fairytales. Then, Herman the bugbeetlebootle, who is Ludwig's assistant, says that '''he''' believes them, and keeps doing it, following a sample clip from each film. Following sample clips from '''Sleeping Beauty''' and '''Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs''', Ludwig von Drake says "Herman, I could smash you!" and smacks him up into a pile of peas.
