== The Memphis Belle (1944) - VHS Releases from Burbank Video and its Predecessors == |

There exists a 1986 Viking Video Classics VHS release of this film. There is also a late-1990 Burbank Video VHS release. |

I own the late-1990 Burbank Video release. My copy uses the late-1992/early-1993 ink-label with the cheaply designed Video Treasures logo; the label also lists the stock no. as VT001024, while the slipcover has 705. It appears that the stock number on the tape label is from a late-1980s Video Treasures VHS release. In addition, my copy was duplicated at Technicolor Videocassette. It has a barcode sticker on the spine of the tape that says "VTTR705EPD," (and of course it was duplicated in EP/SLP, so that's likely what the "EPD" thing at the end means) but it doesn't have a print date (I'm going to guess early or mid 1993 would've been the print date); obviously there's no side label digits either, just some sort of hundred-digit next to the title and that's it. |

The tape still uses the late-1990 print master. Opens with the mid-1980s Video-SIG/Burbank Video tracking disclaimer ID and FBI warning screen, the late-1980s Burbank Video logo, and then the start of the film itself. After the film itself is over, there is nothing at the end other than just a few minutes of black screen and over a minute of full-screen static. Not to mention the print of the film used on this tape has its audio pitched-down. (the same print of the film, minus the Burbank Video warnings/logo, was probably used for the 1986 Viking release) |
