For reasons that will probably never be revealed anytime soon, the series itself was eventually cancelled when production of the segments was completed by mid-1997, so three of the segments were combined into the former film, with one combined with an episode of the TV series, ''Sing Me a Story with Belle'' into the latter. All four animated segments are combined into the 2003 re-release of the former film.
