History[edit]

High Speed Video was founded in 1984 as a subsidiary of Modern Video Productions by Robert Hall and Gene Mason. Modern itself was later purchased by Carlton Communications PLC in early 1988 and became a sister company to Technicolor when Carlton acquired that company later in the year, which ultimately made High Speed Video a sister company to Technicolor Videocassette. On July 8, 1990, High Speed's operations were merged with those of Technicolor Videocassette of Michigan, Technicolor Videocassette's Livonia location.

How to Tell[edit]

  • Tapes duplicated here had a sticker on the bottom spine of the cassette. Technicolor Videocassette of Michigan would continue using this sticker on many Sprinter-dubbed tapes until 1995 after consolidating this duplicator's operations in 1990.
  • Some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tapes sold through the Burger King Kids' Club said "H" on the face label.
