[edit]Downeast Duplicating was founded by civil engineer Fred Wiegleb Sr., who ran the company until his retirement in 2007.

How to Tell
[edit]- Some Simitar Entertainment tapes duplicated here said "ddi" on the face label.
- Tapes duplicated here had the tape speed (e.g. SP) enclosed in a circle, stamped in white on the side of the tape guard.
- Some tapes (such as The Legend of Custer) had a green release button, as was common at Rank Video Services America at the time.
- One known copy of 75 Years of NHL Hockey Heroes and History duplicated here had "DDI" enclosed in a circle, stamped in dark ink on the bottom spine.
